How to make a sprinkle repair

I need water! I can’t help myself to shout these words when I’m in the middle of my shower and the water stopped. I can’t see, I still have soap in my face so I grabbed my towel to wipe it up. I wait for few more minutes and nothing happens so I must fix it. Until I found out that there’s a leak problem so if I want to bring back the water, I need to do the sprinkle repair. Thank God, I know how to do the sprinkle repairs so it just takes me minutes to fix it.

But, how about you? Do you have knowledge in sprinkle repair? What will you do if this happened to you? I don’t want to scare you but there is a possibility that you will experience this scene. So, before it happens I give you some information that you will need.

The common problems why you need to have sprinkle repairs are Loss of pressure, geysers, dry spots and overly saturated areas. So, in able to fix these problems easily you need to ask or hire someone to help you or fix it yourself. If you don’t have idea how you will do it I will teach you how to have sprinkle repair.

First, know where the leak is. To locate the leak problems you might need to a bit of digging. When you found the leak, you have to turn off the water to that line or area. You have to change the pipe or couplers but be sure that you have the correct diameter to make the sprinkle repair. These are many PVC pipe sizes so make sure that you have the pipe that is fit for your line.

Second, if you wish to have a rock-solid tight that will fit for your repair make a work place around the area. If there is mud and dirt, you have to clean it first. And you will found 4 to 6 inches on each side of the break. Cut the pipe with a PVC cutter and wipe the both ends. Put the paper towel at the end of the pipe to avoid having dirt/mud. If the pipe cracks, place a small amount of PVC primer to determine where the blade hit the pipe and wait for a few minutes before applying the pressure to the cutter. The pipe will be softened and it will be easily to cut without cracking.

Third, you should attach a coupler to each pipe and then apply glue on the outside of the pipe and inside the coupler. You should know the step by step process in able to do the work quickly. Slide the coupler onto the pipe end using twisting motion; make it hard so you will have force until the pipe hits the lip when you reach the center of the coupler. You must hold the coupler in 15 to 20 seconds.

Fourth, if you think the repair pit is not yet fit you must cut some piece so the length will fit. If you want to know the length of the repair pipe, you have to measure from the middle of the coupler to the other using tape measure. But if you don’t have one you can measure it by your hand.

Fifth, now you should fit it to the dry couplers.

Sixth, if you think there is still necessary adjustment you have to disassemble it again and fix it again until you perfect it.

Seventh, to do the final fitting, pull the sprinkle line pipe. The PVC is strong you don’t have to be worried. You have to wait 3 to 5 minutes before the water back in that line so have patience.

So, do you agree with me if I tell you that these steps are very easy? If you think that you still can’t do this, I suggest that you should asks help for professionals but you have to know that you will spent few dollars for this.

Oh, please remember, a broken sprinkler line can cause a lot of damage by eroding soil and flooding your lawn. Will you still wait for that big problem? I tell you, you will have lot problems if your water bill will cost you too much. As a concern person, you should not wait that to happen. Move now and find solution and the best solution are to ask a professional help or do it yourself.

It’s up to you what will you choose.
